Look mom, no hands! →

I recently had the pleasure to ride Vlad’s dream bike and took a shot at riding it without holding the handlebars.

It’s been years, many years, since I used to do tricks with my old-school Pegas bike that my parents gave me. I was a bit afraid to do it now, I must admit it - but, it’s the lack of practice, stupid!

What’s so special about riding a bike without holding its handlebars? Freedom. We’re used to navigate in the physical world with the help of our hands: opening the doors, grabbing food, writing, etc. We’re really good at it, right?

When you release the handlebars you give up control. You focus on your overal equilibrium, you pay more attention to the road, you act against your fear.

Give it a go, give up control, exercise your vision, be in the flow, embrace freedom!
