Questions search answers →
Reading Bogdana’s post on search behavior inspired me to think a little bit more about how I search. It also reminded me of a compelling vision of search shared by Andrej a while ago.

Whenever you ask a question you get answers. These answers might be relevant or not to your question. It is you every time that evaluates how relevant the answers are.
I have the following questions and I’d love if you could help me explore them:
1. What is an answer to you?
2. How do you know that an answer is relevant to you?
3. Are you aware that among the answers that you get there are answers to questions that you didn’t ask?
You can explore the question/answer relationship from any perspective (including search engines and conversations)
